Simplifying Layouts

I've been working on layouts like a fiend and I've decided to simplify the floor plan of Raleigh's apartment for the sake of my sanity and finishing my film. All layouts are at very least sketched at this point and I'm working on final line today. I will also be working out a brief animation test of Raleigh to get myself back in the swing of things. It won't be a shot for the film, just a personality test really.

Poster for "Pieces"

I wanted the poster for my film to have significance, so I finished the illustration for the photograph in the film and used that. Initially, Raleigh's grandmother was going to be an otter, but I figured it would be easier for the audience to understand their relationship if she was a raccoon as well.

A new and final semester

This will be my last semester at College for Creative Studies, and my thesis project "Pieces" will be completed by the time I graduate in May. It is an exciting and daunting goal, but one I hope will be achievable especially with the help of a few newly recruited and incredibly talented people that I will announce soon. This is the beginning of the end and I can't wait to get going.

Stay Tuned.

Raleigh Expression Sheet

I'm growing fond of Raleigh, and thankfully starting to get a hold of how he is structured.

Orthographics for Raleigh's Apartment

To scale orthographics make for easier layouts and perspective. All I have left to figure out is what I want on his walls and whether or not I want lights on the ceiling. I stopped doing the orthographic view of the bathroom because I realized that I don't have any shots that use more than the door.
